Palmizana Meneghello 21450 Hvar Croatia

A culinary institution off of Hvar for over a generation, Palmizana Meneghello is a destination island with series of private-owned family villas and two restaurants that are worthy of your seafaring effort. Whether by yacht or local transports like Taxi del Mar from Hvar harbor, visitors arrive to a private mooring and ascend a small hill where a small palm oasis shades the Palmizana Meneghello. Open from lunch through dinner, to the yachting public as well as in-house hotel guests, the dining room meanders through a series of parlors lined in art with two terraces that overlook the arid hills of Hvar.

The Food

Specializing in locally sourced cuisine that include Hvar and Brac produce as well as seafood plucked from the sea on the morning of, meals begin with homemade breads and bruschetta followed by caprese or octopus salads. Delicate pasta dishes include toppings like local shrimp and sea truffles or perhaps a shellfish risotto. Main course dabbles in land and sea with traditional Gregada with roasted potatoes, fired calamari and Dalmatian-style chicken.

Last Word

The owners also operate Toto’s Beach Restaurant, a more casual beach eatery specializing in local fish and long summer lunches.
