Located slopeside in Courchevel 1850 and an ideal base for those that prefer days on the mountain verses the town, this hamlet-inspired boutique hotel is home to just 35 rooms and private chalets offering a modern homage to traditional French Alpine décor. The in-house eatery Le Montgomerie is led by its own Michelin prodigy with more casual La Cima. Le Basecamp includes a tended outdoor terrace to take-in apres skiing with on-demand ski concierge that assists with boots and accouterment from the in-house boutique. Further hotel amenities include an impressive spa operated by La Prairie with fitness center, indoor pool and outdoor hot tub surrounded by a mountainous and often snowy landscape.
The Room
An ideal base for those that prefer to ski than days in the village, these 35 rooms are divided between a series of rustic chalets that offer high ceilings, Alpine wood paneling and charming without overbearing décor. Bathrooms are perhaps the weakest element of the property, showing their date with tiling and darker spaces but with upgraded amenities and toiletries from France’s La Prairie.
