Spanish Shoemaker Camper unveils its sophomore property in East Berlin to the delight of fashionable travelers looking to lay their head at a boutique hotel in the German capital wasn't sterile or painfully modern. Much like the quirky cute original tucked inside Barcelona's Gothic District, the East Berlin property is located in the equally energetic Mitte District known for its period buildings and bohemian artists but lack of unique hospitality options. At least until Casa Camper Berlin arrived that proves more than just your average hotel for sleeping with its rooftop restaurant open to all guests 24-hours a day, even at 4am, for no added charge

Curious to try this free food wonder located on the rooftop, you expect something between an Admiral's Club and Ritz Carlton Club Level, where food presentations are offered throughout the day but with a higher room-rate category. Here the free food is for everybody, at a never-ending buffet of culinary treats like jar of tomato-burrata and seared tuna salads that have a high-class cafeteria feel in a delightful rooftop setting. For something a bit more gourmet former-chef de cuisine at Spain's esteemed El Bulli, Albert Raurich, has inaugurated new Dos Palillos restaurant with gourmet Asian tapas on the first floor called.
The Room

You can definitely judge this book by its cover, an architectural face of Bauhaus-inspired glass windows arranged with numbers from 1-68 emblazoned on the exterior bathrooms in the shade of the East German TV Tower nearby Hackescher Markt. Glass doors with a high-security vibe lead to an immediate reception where efficient Germans explain the inner workings of the hotel with its all-day, 24-hour restaurant concept called Tentempie and emancipated guest rooms that are chic but simple like a pair of Camper shoes. Other quirky hotel perks include a bike valet and 2-hour trabi safari through historical Berlin.
