  • Along a tranquil pedestrian walkway off the main village, home to Hermes and Louis and most-every other luxury brand recognizable in one name, is the manicured street of Punta Tragara with views that stretch out over the iconic rocks of Capri's Faraglioni. It is here you'll pass some of the island's chicest residences and privately owned hotels where at the end of the path this refurbished architectural wonder lies re-imagined by the owners of Rome's ever quaff Palazzo Manfredi.

To locals Punta Tragara needs no introduction, it's one of the island's best hotels with façade designed by Le Corbusier in 1920, but to others its all-new interior design and exclusive location have made it the hottest hotel on Capri. Visitors arrive to a stunning lobby foyer laid in marble floors topped with geometric modern rugs around stylish modern décor in bold colors and zebra-hides. An upgraded restaurant with unparalleled views of the sea and rock formation is also home to the spectacular resort deck with infinity pool and equally upgraded crowd of preening jetsetters.

  • The Room:

Less brash than the Quisi and better located than the Capri Palace or JK Carpi, Punta Tragara can boast of the best real estate of any hotel on the island complete with private infinity decks with tear-inducing panoramas from a penthouse suite that could get an oh-la-la out even the most fickle jetsetter. A sophisticated design aesthetic free of trend includes bi-level guest rooms with creamy limestone floors and loft-style bedroom with slab-marble bathroom in veiny green marbles offering toilet views of the sea. Views are legendary even from the bathrooms with their elegant marble appointment and soaking tubs built for hour-long honeymoon soaks at Capri’s latest anointed hotspot.
