  • A few minutes away from the tourist excess of Oia, Grace Santorini occupies a unique corner of the western island in a village called Imerovigli just 2km. outside of the capital of Fira. Perched on a hilltop of pure-white stucco buildings facing the famous caldera, the resort is terraced along four separate levels of meandering, narrow white walkways with irreverent views. This second outpost of Grace Hotels opened in 2007, which now includes a total of three properties in Greece. The hotel is home to two separate swimming pools including a new rooftop infinity pool lined in pristine white loungers that's one of the most spectacular outside of Oia. The smaller pool boasts its own outdoor bar and overflow restaurant crowd that includes many area hotel visitors that come in search of the spot-on locally-sourced cuisine and innovative Greek recipes along an intimate domed dining room or outdoor terrace where most request to sit. A decent gym allows for quick morning cardio fixes, but not much else, as most guests simply choose for a late start and then head to Red Beach for the day.†

  • The Room:

A swift check-in from the airport is greeted with champagne arrival and then a quick survey of rooms like a standard Deluxe with a refreshing all0white styling interrupted by whitewash wooden doors that open to multi-level terraces with small seating area and private plunge pools. Walls are adorned with LCD screen TVs and oversize artwork depicting various local Santorini landmarks. Junior suites come with similar layout along the lowest level of the hotel with larger living spaces equipped with built-in banquettes and rocking chair. Those on a honeymoon splurge should checkout the Grace Suites with massive indoor and outdoor plunge pools with separate living and sleeping areas with their own private balconies ideal for romantic late-night dining for two.
