Few luxury hotels define the new China architectural guard in the capital city like the Park Hyatt, part of the Beijing Yintai Centre situated inside the top of one of the area's tallest skyscrapers opposite the China World Trade Centre and transformer-shaped CCTV Tower in the Chaoyang District. From street-level, guests are rocketed to the top-level lobby reception where two elevators open to walls of glass containing the city skyline under a two-story atrium of stacked-stone walls and modern art installations.
A smaller and more intimate hotel than expected, an architectural staircase zigzags to an upper level restaurant or down a bright and airy corridor to the main reception. Hotel facilities include a large meeting space and gallery on the hotel's lower street levels or Tian Spa situated at the top of the building with indoor swimming pool and treatment rooms surrounded in skyline views. China Grill, located on the top floor, offers a lively Pan-Asian menu for be-seen dinner with lively lounge better on weeknights than weekends.

Defined by post-millennium architecture and landmark city views from virtually every hotel space, entry-level rooms at the Park Hyatt are some of our favorite of any Beijing luxury hotel with hardwood floors and airy color palette of white and beige that extends through open style living space with oversize lounge arrangements.
