Parisian designer Jacques Garcia follows up his success at La Mamounia with the much-anticipated Selman Marrakech opening May 1st. A stately property 10-minutes from the center of Marrakech leads to a stately brick façade with palm tree colonnade and prominent swimming pool that frames resort grounds that includes Haras Pur-Sang - a stable of white Arabian horses that are more for looks than actual use. An upscale resort destination with a boutique feel, the property is home to a spa by Dominique Chenotand who's one of France's top aestheticians cast within a traditional hamam with Ottoman baths and grand architectural setting. The in-house destination eatery by Antoine Perray mixes contemporary Moroccan cooking with haute French flair in a whimsical dining space arranged in fuchsia upholstered décor and overall space interiors.

The Room

The 56 rooms and suites of Selman Marrakech brim a one-of-a-kind feel with their hand carved wood paneling and plush modern décor set against distressed hardwood floors and hand painted tile wainscoting. Larger suites are arranged with separate seating areas next to grand floor-to-ceiling windows that open to step-out balconies. Five fully private riads offer an additional level or refined luxury ideal for CEO visitors or celeb guests. Interiors throughout mix an aged glamour and gilded aesthetic ubiquitous of even new hotels by Garcia.
