Boutique Hotel

Along one of our favorite streets in Soho is a charming brick swathe of Federal Revival architecture and bohemian charm once home to burgeoning residential lofts in the 70s and 80s. Today, its façade looks very much the same despite being converted into a 14-room boutique hotel that mixes a casual urban elegance and industrial sex appeal from lobby to guest room. A series of iron doors leads to a main reception adorned in Keith Haring artwork and Peter Lindbergh prints among mid-century inspired seating arrangements and local boutique. A covered atrium lined is lined in painted tiles with the tropical charm of rattan décor, navy sofas with white piping and pineapple-print lamps shades. An in-house café offer all-day selections from local bakeries with complimentary coffees, small bites and convivial charm of a neighborhood drawing room all but missing in today's Soho.

The Room

An upward nod from the atrium reveals the brick building and its two centuries of tales that are now home to 14 guest rooms as well as a lavish penthouse apartment. A spare but luxurious décor is found in entry-level rooms with simple white tufted King headboards and white marble tile bathrooms. Larger junior suites offer small seating area with neighborhood views but thankfully not the noise courtesy of the soundproof windows. The penthouse is the best of the house with full floor layout and outdoor terrace with rooftop views of Soho.
