A natural wonderland, Munkmarsch Harbor has been the gateway to Sylt for generations. From here, the island is accessible to stylish travelers visiting by ship or private yacht. Since autumn 1997, the Fahrhaus Hotel has been one of the premiere hotel destinations of the island. From the harbor, the hotel comes into view as an architectural wonder presiding over the sea and marina as an almost magical sight. The hotel itself is divided into four separate buildings, connected by a towering glass dome. An exterior patio features a formal restaurant and cafe with contemporary-spin on German regional cuisine. Aside from the neighboring beaches, an indoor pool and full spa area are also available to hotel guests.

The Room:

The hotel features 14 standard rooms and six suites. Each is decorated in modern German styling with subtle luxuries and touches of Italian and traditional German design. In no way is the hotel a minimalist sanctuary, the hotel offers the decorating charm of an elegant German household. Bathrooms are laid with bright-white tiles, shiny porcelain sinks and high-thread count linens. While there are no kitschy chirping clocks, floral prints and plaids do grace much of the furnishings.
