Oetker Collection expands to London

November 19, 2014 09.20 AM

With recent openings in Marrakech and Courchevel, German hotelier Oetker Collection has been in expansion mode. With iconic properties like Hotel-du-Cap and Le Bristol brings its swish management to London’s Lanesborough that was most recently managed by Luxury Collection’s St. Regis moniker. The property sits along the edge of Mayfair and Knightsbridge along Hyde Park corner and provides a flagship, recognizable address for Oetker’s London debut. Originally the private residence of Viscount Lanesborough in the 18th Century, the property has had incarnations as a hospital and private residence before emerging as a hotel in 1990. Closed since late-2013, Lanesborough has been undergoing a complete refurbishment that extends to all of the 136-rooms, restaurants and spa. The redesign incorporates interior designer Alberto Pinto original vision for the property while infusing modern technology, contemporary design and a forthcoming art collection found within numerous Oetker properties. As for opening, look for The Lanesborough by Oetker Collection to debut in Spring 2015.
