  • You know the concept, hip boutique chain offers minimalist hotel lounge with ultra-stylized furnishings and evolved-motel architecture. While you may not have patronized such establishments since the late 90s, this hip lounge and DJ bar manages to pull one of the cutest après-ski crowds in Aspen for post-slope drinking and ski season socializing. Guests arrive straight from the slopes in clunky ski boots with black-and-white Chanel logos and fur-trimmed hoods to spend the late afternoon and early evening chilling amongst kidney bean-shaped couches and shaggy animal print rugs. A crackling wood fireplace heats things-up rather quickly, so it doesn't take long before the layers come off to reveal some well-sculpted ski bodies. The bar features a small plate menu of burgers or sushi as well as an inventive drink menu with concoctions like Sex on the Slopes and the Aspen Pimptini.

  • Last Word

Party-minded hotel lounge offers ski-season scene of waif-thin snow bunnies and athletic minded man-boys who communicate ala “dude” and “bro.” More party than posh, it’s a youthful alternative to some of the towns more mature and moneyed drinking establishments. In summer an outdoor pool lounge offers afternoon dance parties with open-air bar area.
