Since opening in December 2010, Trinity has become one of Cape Town’s preeminent dance clubs with a quaff location midway between the V & A Waterfront and town center. Part dinner club and part VIP dance venue known as the Funktion Room, the space morphs day to night from a casual café with industrial-feel and ominous-looking organ in the middle of the main-level to a more upscale restaurant upstairs with a grand hall of archways of stacked bricks amongst Oregon pine floors. As for the main dance club, the dramatic room is the most opulent of the space with its 50-ft. stage home to revolving DJs and live acts amongst walls lined in Indian temple doors and projected video images. An upper mezzanine-level looms above the club for those in search of a need-rest from the dance action that lasts till 4amon most weekends.
