Lionel Messi does more than play football in Barcelona - he also owns Bellavista del Jardín del Norte, which he runs with the help of brother Rodrigo and sister Maria Sol. The concept-driven restaurant is located in the city's L'Eixample neighborhood and blends a variety of influences native to Messi's life, including authentic Argentinian cuisine and Catalan and Iberian favorites.

Bellavista del Jardín del Norte is designed as a charming small town: guests can fill their water bottles at a fresh spring water fountain, visit a quaint barber shop and more. Large groups can hire out a “balcony” that seats 10-15 people and features party entertainment options, including large screen TVs, Playstation 4, Netflix and music. The garden seating area is almost as large as the indoors.

The Food

Messi & Family have indulged a wide range of culinary influences authentic to the star fútboler's life. Argentine cuisine favorites speak to Messi's heritage: diners can enjoy pancetta with tangy barbecue sauce and pickled onions, beef rib eye steak and silky smooth veal tenderloin. Cold meats, cheeses, canned seafood and tapas represent his Catalan and Iberian experiences, including Iberian cured-pork loin sausage, a rich duck magret and Catalan truffled saucisson.

Last Word

The bar features a sophisticated selection of infused cocktails and high end spirits, and the dessert menu features enticing ice creams and sweet treats.
