  • The Scene:

    They’re two of Montreal top restaurateurs operating the highly respected and prized Toque! Eatery in a sophisticated sophomore space relocated from its original spot on Rue Saint-Denis. The open-style dining room and wine lounge were designed by Jean-Pierre Viau surrounded in walls of floor-to-ceiling glass draped inn silky fabrics from an open-plan space in Old Montreal. Interior walls are glad in sea foam colored silk fabric with prominent local artwork and wine cellar on center view with bottles of Chateau La Tour dangling precariously on specially built metal cords.

  • The Food:

    A meticulous, educated menu of French specialties with the additional blessing locally sourced Quebecois products begins with roasted half-quail with ricotta ravioli, green bean salad with foie gras terrine and gourmet BLT of tomato, pancetta and young lettuce shoots. Main course standouts include suckling pig with morels, beef bourguignon cooked 12-hours that could humble even Julia’s and Cavatelli with foie gras shavings and white truffle oil. Service is a postcard of white glove perfection with a youthful, visually pleasing staff maintaining impeccable service-on-the-right standards from appetizer to cheese course.
