No small headline when 3-Star Michelin chef of Paris's Le Meurice and 1947 Restaurant at Cheval Blanc sets up any restaurant, Yannick Alléno debuts the Beijing installment of his S.T.A.Y. eatery within the former Blu Lobster space of Shangri-La Hotel Beijing. Cosmopolitan Parisian design meets subtle Chinese undertones within a boutique eatery offering communal dining from one-of-a-king serving pieces and crowd that mixes hotel guest and Alléno-stalking foodies. S.T.A.Y. features two dining concepts - the Communal Table with sharing-style of signature Alléno menu dishes and Pastry Library, an interactive patisserie for both the pastry chef and guests to experience a working French bakery albeit in a monolithic hotel setting in central Beijing.
