Situated in the Gold Coast one block west of North Michigan Avenue, Bistronomic is the latest and greatest of Chicago’s gastro-pub movement. A long dining room is trimmed in hunter green wainscoting and red walls that festoon simple wood tables and bistro chairs. A banquette wraps the room with stand-up bar in the rear that captures overflow diners or those not lucky enough to score a table in what many consider Chicago’s most delicious casual eatery.
The Food
Chef Martial Nouguier presides over an award-winning menu that begins with small plates selections of soup du jour, Caesar salad and beef carpaccio. Further medium plates reveal grilled cheese, country pate and Parmesan gnocchi followed by large plates of roasted duck, steak frites and organic Amish chicken.
