    Situated on a compound of traditional Laguna bungalows with an earthy glow, Sapphire is often touted as one of the best restaurants in town with its star chef and tough reservations. Divided between a more rustic dining room with bar and outdoor terrace with crackling fire pit, diners come in search of gourmet meals with a casual Southern Californian style. In addition to the main eatery open for lunch and dinner, the property is home to a gourmet market known as The Pantry offering delicatessen with cheese, meats and epicurean products.

  • The Food:

    Iranian-born and Swiss-trained chef Azmin Ghahreman creates a daily lunch and nightly menu of pre-appetizers nibbles like home-fried chips with sage and sea-salt or Mezzeh tasting. Main appetizers include ahi tartare with melba toast, Argentine beef capriccio with crispy potato and incredible Greek octopus salad with oregano-basil dressing. Main course globetrots for dishes like Seafood paella with Spanish chorizo, red mango curried Barramundi, chicken potpie and pork schnitzel with haricots verts.
