In a city that’s no newcomer to trendy dining trends, Belly Q does a fashionable makeover to traditional Asian barbecue with backers that include Cornerstone Restaurant Group and Michael Jordan. Heavy on design, architects Downtown Design League penned the interiors of the traditional brick building with exposed beam walls that divide booths of raw wood and tabletop robata grills. A central dining room features an industrial vibe of concrete floors, aluminum bistro chairs and whimsical blown-glass lighting fixtures. Unique to the eatery is a cool drinking bar and karaoke den complete with leather loungers for late-night crooners.
The Food
