Once a Jewish Girl's School in the center of Berlin, this historic structure has been transformed into a series of art galleries, museum and culinary attraction. In terms of culinary pedigree, two eateries include a more casual NY-style deli called Mogg & Melzer as well as more formal Pauly Saal that are open for lunch and dinner. Both spaces are magnificently designed taking into account the period windows and architectural details of the historic structure with more modern design elements that highlight 20s and 50s Berlin design.
The Food
Pauly Saal offers an all-day menu of innovative pommeranian Ox tartare, smoked brook trout and venison consume. Main courses vary between venison and Baltic Sea cod to a full rotisserie with pigeon, duck and poussin. Those dining at Mogg & Melzer find a bevy of NYC deli staples from classic pastrami to smoked white fish and matzo ball soup.
