A dining institution for more than a century in Milan, this beloved eatery is equal parts brash celebrity trattoria and culinary destination known for its incredible homemade pasta. No longer operated by its founding family or even in its original location, the current owners have evolved the destination into more of a be-seen playground popular with fashionable locals and international visitors. The Food
An impeccable menu begins with selection of salmon, beef and octopus carpaccio followed by homemade burrata on roasted tomatoes and table-cut parma ham with pumpkin. Pasta course includes carnaroli with black squid ink, Sicilian pasta with sardines and fennel as well as tubetto with cheesy eggplant that’s a feel-good marvel. Main course dabbles in traditional Milanese recipes for on-par veal scaloppini, beef tartare and pork chops stuffed with cheese and mint.
