Albert's Club

Albert's: More party than Soho; more relaxed than Annabel's.

Hours 6pm-3am, daily

92b Old Brompton Road Kensington London SW7 3LQ UK 44 20 7225 1899 England

Founding partner Carlo Carello describes the passion behind Albert's as, "More party than Soho House and more relaxed than Annabel's." That middle ground results in an intriguing scene that appeals not just to 20-somethings looking for a good time, but also a more mature crowd who want an entertaining and sophisticated night out. Albert's is a private club, so entry depends on membership approval. Assuming everything goes well, look forward to a personalized, 5-star level of service. The club boasts 2-3 times the number of staff of comparable establishments and even offers a Rolls Royce chauffeur service, to make sure members arrive safely at home.

When dinner hours are over, the tablecloths come off, the lights go down, the music starts and the dancing begins. There are two bars each offering an especially large selection of whiskys and martinis, among other indulgences. Bar service is extremely professional and prompt.

Last Word

The team behind Albert's call on experience at a constellation of famed London clubs, including Raffles, Boujis and Mahiki and they're deploying what they've learned to create a destination that blends a high end restaurant with a bar and night club experience. Starting with the food, the menu emphasizes the classics: no gastronomic-inspired foams, powders or slurries. Modern Italian with a twist sums up the theme: Sicilian prawn carpaccio, yellow tail tartare, sea bass & scallop ceviche, and lobster linguine are some of the more popular dishes.
