Condo-Hotel Resort

Located in an offbeat South Beach location away from the main sprawl of Collins Avenue, designer Marcel Wanders teams-up with the storied Mondrian-brand to create a symphonic masterpiece in the world of extravagant condo-hotels. A 16-story waterfall edifice leads to an immaculate all-white main lobby divided between an outdoor courtyard and interior reception space flanked by a floating black-lacquered staircase. Walls are lit in modern art installations rotating digitalized images displayed on oversize flat screen monitors. Located on a residential section of Biscayne Bay traditional home to dated high-rise residential towers, guests should be aware that a car is essential for visiting anything outside of the hotel. Albeit an island of entertainment on its own, the hotel offer an outpost of Asia de Cuba restaurant, all-new destination bar, two swimming pools and exclusive Aqua day spa and fitness center. The pool draws from the success of the nearby Standard with a party pool deck directly on Biscayne Bay with extravagant cabanas surrounded in ivy topiary, low-flung white loungers amongst secret pathways with "kissing corners."

The Room

A total of 335 guest rooms range in size from compact studios to vast penthouse with full kitchen, balcony and head-on views of downtown Miami. A series of studio, one and two bedroom apartments and penthouses by Marcel Wanders are dazzling design spaces that mix all-white simplicity with cutting edge use of space. Colors of gray, gold, black and white offset elaborate wall-coverings from eccentric rugs and minimalist furnishings, Wanders creates open living areas that transition to open-plan bedrooms and occasional loft-style kitchen with Dutch Delft tile with Miami Beach motifs. Many larger room categories include spacious balconies with stunning views of the bay and ocean. Bathrooms feature oversize sinks and showers tiled in a mosaic of clouds and sky interrupted by the occasional Wanders’ signature chandeliers that doubles as a showerhead in one of the larger suites.
