The Viceroy Miami is located within the bayfront Icon Brickell, a glassy high-rise complex of hotel and residential towers. The lobby is a lesson in Kelly Wearstler designisms, a co-host of Bravo's Top Design, with heavy use of black-and-white colors and tufted-sofa seating areas that take her Hollywood Regency verve and blend in East Asian flaire. Common spaces like the 15th floor dining room and Club 50 are Palm Beach chic with old-money details like a cabaña-lined infinity pool overlooking Miami's new money bohemia.
The Room
Floor to ceiling windows frame elegant entry-level guest rooms with four-poster beds, fluffy Italian linens and small desk areas more conducive to writing a ‘thank you’ note than business proposal. Larger suites offer decadent living areas furnished in bold lime green sofas and lounge chairs with small kitchenette and private balconies overlooking the bay. All bathrooms feature slab-marble floors and soaking tubs surrounded in Molton Brown toiletries imported from London.
