Luxury Hotel

Rising above the famed Corniche, Four Seasons Beirut is perhaps the most monumental of local hotels given the brand's status as the west's most luxurious hotel chain that brings their seal of approval to new Beirut. A 26-floor seal of approval, to be exact, from designer Pierre Yves Rochon of previous work at Four Seasons Florence, who pulls the slack from the starck white sail-shaped high-rise through panoramic views of the Mediterranean as well as access to moored yachts on the newly retrofitted marina. Arrival to Four Seasons Beirut comes though a well-fortified entrance with heavy security presence and into a far more traditional lobby laid in a baronial oriental carpet with white murano glass chandelier flanked by rosewood paneled walls and marble-accented counter reception.

Not your formulaic new Four Seasons of yesterday, Beiut's it-hotel comes with a slate of in-house amenities that have made it a focal point even for locals. Upscale The Grill Room is the gourmet eatery, more business than gourmet, with Mediterranean menu of steaks and seafood in a buttoned-up setting of black lacquered chairs and gold-inlay walls facing an outdoor terrace concealed behind pocket doors. A lobby lounge with lunch and cocktail menu takes a backseat to Club 26 that surrounds the rooftop pool in a mix of preening westerners and hobnobbing locals that descend on the space around sunset for house DJs and club style vibe with Asian-inspired tapas menu and signature cocktails atop Beirut's highest bar that's like a grown-up alternative to local Sky Bar.
The Room

Built from the ground up as a Four Seasons hotel, inherent luxury amenities include every one of the hotel’s 230 guest rooms and suites having a private terrace. Bright and airy corridors lead to heavy wooden doors that open to airier rooms even in the entry-level standard room category sizing in at around 400- sq. feet with familiar queen-bed facing LCD TV layout with small business desk and club chair positioned in front of sliding doors with cheerful striped curtains that lead to a sizeable terrace with courtyard views. Better views comes in higher room categories, and prices to match, located between the 9th and 25th floors with head-on sea or city views with similar marble bathroom with restrained design aesthetic of marble and granite floors and double vanity sinks with L’Occitane bath products. Deluxe and four top-of-the-line suites come with even bigger living spaces in even more formal styling with larger outdoor spaces but lacking in anything too trendy like plunge pools or full kitchens.
