Luxury Hotel

A stylish boutique hotel that's all the craze in London today, Claridge's happens to also be one of the city's grand historic hotels located near Bond and Davies Street in the heart of Mayfair.  A bustling valet that makes you wish you were dressed up to check-in leads to a glossy revolving door and into the black-and-white marble lobby with crackling fireplace, plaster cornice ceiling and grand chandelier that all looks much the same as when the hotel was built.

Old without being staid, Claridge's has managed to keep style relevance by consistently updates the hotels interiors like the iconic bar, a favorite of Gwyneth and Madonna's, that was designed by David Collins. The hotel is home to Gordan Ramsay at Claridge's that's recently struggled to maintain its culinary fortitude and uniqueness with its seems-to-be-everywhere chef. Its 1-Star Michelin was revoked in early 2010, luckily his Chelsea eatery still retains its 3-Star status and the concierge has a great connection and in-house sedan service to get you there.

A top-notch gym that's also open to local membership, typical in any European cities, offers large selection of cardio machines as well as convenient access to post-sweat spa sessions with select La Prairie treatments and collection of fashionable locals and in-the-know visitors that make it the chicest in London's high-end luxury bracket.

The Room

Branded as a luxury design hotel, entry-level rooms at Claridge’s fulfill lofty expectations serene, individually designed space that include architectural features like arched alcoves, wood paneling and period art deco antiques albeit with minimal views and compact dimensions. Superior King room bring a bit more glitz with pin-striped wall covers, ornate entryways and detailed in-layed wood detail. with sophisticated design choices by designer always at the to of their game when selected. Despite all the PR push for the Diane von Furtsenberg-design suites, our favorite room is the Victorian Davies Penthouse accessed through a pair of rosewood and brass doors that open to a black and white tiled marble entryway with vaulted ceiling.
