Debuted in 2012 as part of a larger trend of fashion designer branded hotels, Armani Hotel makes its home in a more urban location of Milan along via Manzoni sitting under a modern rooftop atrium that puts a fashionable hat on the building's historic masonry façade. Inside, Armani works muted colors and signature furnishings, many of which are also available for purchase through his Armani Casa line. An Armani-branded eatery features a bolder design statement of black-and-white marble floors and windows illuminated by the Milanese skyline with additional bar space remains one of the most fashionable in the city. The rooftop features one of the best spas in Milan, if not Italy, within a 10,000-swaure foot space of pool, sauna regiment and 24-hour fitness center.
The Room
Larger than its Bulgari competitor, a total of 95-rooms feature polished and sophisticated angles and details personally penned by Georgio Armani. Entry-level Deluxe Rooms offer plush silk carpets, leather-trimmed walls and bathrooms lined in regal marble. Premiere rooms come with a bit more living and workspace separate from the main seeping area while Suites offer perks like exquisitely upholstered sectional sofas, elegant dressing areas and a number of furnished terraces. The second Armani Hotel to date, the first is in Dubai, Armani Hotels & Resorts is actually a partnership between Armani and Dubai-based Emaar who also developed the Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall.
