Luxury Boutique Hotel
From the restaurants behind such timeless hotspots as The Wolseley, The Beaumont is the inaugural hotel offering from Corbin & King located along Brown Hart Gardens in Mayfair. The location is a short walk to Bond Street and shopping at Selfridges but away from the tourist sprawl. A distinguished Edwardian structure features a prominent sculpture (that’s part of an actual suite) by Turner Prize winner Antony Gormley affixed to its façade. A revolving lobby door leads into an art deco inspired lobby of black and white marble floors, burl-accented décor and bold bronze chandelier. A series of entertaining spaces include a NY-inspired drinking bar with herringbone floors and walls arranged in period photography as well as a glamorous eatery that Zelda Fitzgerald would have loved with deep leather booths and grand deco murals. A second lounge hosts exclusively in-house residents with more of a gentlemanly library feel with honesty bar that’s a respite from the hotels more public spaces.
A boutique property hidden away from the usual hotel suspects, The Beaumont houses 50 rooms, 13 studios and 10 suites that include grand ROOM, a hybrid art installation and top-of-the-line suite created by Turner Prize-winning British sculptor Antony Gormley. Rooms deploy a familiar art deco vibe that extends from the hotel’s common area. Entry-level accommodations are well curated with details like vintage photography, business amenities and silver tea service. Room service is divine, even if overnight delivery options are limited. Bathrooms are exquisitely trimmed in veiny white marble, mosaic floors and oversize windows with bathtub views. Larger suites come with multiple configuration options for larger 3 and 4-bedrooms as well as full living area with gallery-worthy artwork.
