Small Luxury Hotel
Built in the 18th Century by architect Antoine Mazin, Marquis Faubourg Saint-Honoré Hotel has served in various incarnations as an ambassadorial residence and home to the French Prime Minister. Today, however, it's aristocratic façade hints to the stylish boutique hotel that lurks within. Penned by Florence's Michele Bonan, the designer behind JK Hotels, its masonry façade and rod-iron encrusted windows lead to a residential entryway and parlor-style reception with oriental screens, Italian sculptures and marble-trimmed fireplace. Décor is more eccentric than Bonan's work at any of the JK Hotels, brocade fabrics and layered sophistication that extends to the morning breakfast rooms that expands into a proper lounge come afternoons and evenings. As for the location, the hotel is impeccable located for those that like the shopping options of rue Saint-Honore that's walking distance to the river and nearby Marais.
