With the arrival of summer comes a stream of new European beach club openings making waves across the Mediterranean. In Hvar, Croatia’s chicest isle, new BB Club is owned by the island’s top hotel group and offers a beach club scene by day and dance club by night that may alas give Carpe Diem a run for the VIP crowd.
Mallorca’s Puro Group has been in expansion mode in recent years with the debut of Puro Beach at Porto Montenegro last year - located just minutes north of Aman Resort’s Sveti Stefan. This month on Italy’s Tuscan coast they’ve also debuted Purobeach Oasis del Mar beach club with nearbly 32-suite hotel operated by the Ferragamo Family’s Lungarno Collection inside the posh Marina di Scarlino.
In Bodrum, legendary Halikarnas debuts a new look for the 2013 complete with a new restaurant called Secret Garden owned by Jade Jagger. Back in Ibiza, Nikki Beach will debut its own Balearic flagship for the season while the owners of Experimental Cocktail Club in Paris, London and New York set-up their own ECC Beach that’s one of the hottest openings of summer 2013.
