Nestled high up in the famed French Alps ski resort of Courchevel, L'Anerie is a jewel set in the alpine snows. The design and décor are inspired by an authentic Savoyard farm house or chalet look, with charmingly distressed accents. The lighting is warm but low, perfect for close conversations and convivial dining. The vibe is wonderfully romantic and indulgent. This is lavish high-end dining that fits perfectly with Courchevel's “beautiful people at play” aesthetic.

The Food

Fondues, tartiflettes and raclette plates, ideal for chilly winter nights, are a favorite here and rendered with exquisite care and attention to fine ingredients, including truffled cold meats and vegetables fresh from the local markets. The menu also has a large selection of hearty beef offerings, perfect for refueling after a long day on the slopes. This is more than comfort food, however: Black Angus steaks and grilled rib eyes are prepared skillfully, with exquisite attention to detail and flavor. Pan-fried bass and seared scallops highlight the seafood menu. Caviar, carpaccio, foie gras and lavishly constructed soups and salads advertise haute cuisine exclusivity.

Last Word

Haute cuisine excellence perched atop the French Alps, L'Anerie is a monument to fine Savoyard dining for the jet set ski resort crowd.
