In a coveted restaurant space once occupied by Felipe Bronze, Eleven makes its home inside one of Rio’s grand dining spaces led by German chef Joachim Koerper. A spare 1970s street front is lined in partial glass panels that conceal a two-story dining space accented in tumbled limestone, mosaic artwork and simple mid-century decor.
The latest gastronomic chef to arrive on the Rio dining scene, Joachim Koerper is a German that hails from the upper echelons of the Lisbon dining scene. The menu includes Sunday lunch and nightly prix-fixe digestion options with delicate dishes like cucumber gazpacho with lobster, tuna tartare with mango and terrine of foie gras followed by fillet mignon with polenta, suckling pig confit or duck in two preparations.
