There's a lot happening at The Burj. First, that glamorous new pool deck followed by the all-new penthouse lounge Gold on 27 that opened in early 2016. Now, British and Michelin Star Chef Nathan Outlaw takes the helm of the hotel's signature, Al Mahara. The dining room has been tempered in its latest remodel, gone are the brassy baroque and gold accents and in their place are more subtle fabrics and colors enveloping private banquettes and a larger private dining room.

The Food

This critically acclaimed seafood eatery is worthy of its glittery address with daytime and dinner tasting menu utilizing Nathan Outlaw's unique cooking style and signature dishes. Al Mahara offers dishes like crispy oyster and caviar, lobster risotto, turbot with cauliflower, wild Mushrooms and truffle followed by a feel-good sticky toffee pudding.

Last Word

What feels like an underwater dining experience is actually an extension of the lobby aquarium as schools of fish and shark pass repeatedly through your dinner.
