Who hasn't spent a late night dining on feel-good Chinese food at the innumerable Mr. Chow eateries from London to Beverly Hills? In expansion mode over the past few years with new locations in Las Vegas and Malibu, Mr. Chow takes on Mexico City from a posh, architectural compound that was once a private residence in Polanco. Today, its glassy façade is a fashion favorite for supper club diners that stake out larger tables and corners of the bar for dinners that last through 2am.
The Food
Forget your diet and opt for gut-busting platters of pot stickers, fried dumplings, wonton-topped salads and meaty skewers followed y pan-fried noodles, Peking duck and numerous sweet and sour combinations.
Last Word
While there are worthier meals with far less calories in the Mexican capital, this playful international supper club is remarkably un-touristy and a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
