On a bustling strip of Collins Avenue just north of the famed-Delano, The Shore Club is located within an deco-revival façade designed by famed British architect David Chipperfield, Chiseled staff scurry about the lobby area like sexy extras on a Hollywood film, connected to one-another via headsets and walkie-talkies. The lobby oozes a spa-like gentleness leading to a labyrinth of boldly colored passageways, planted alcoves and well-worn outdoor 'rooms' of the hotel's resort area. Indoor-outdoor architecture centers around two elevated infinity edge pools, one olympic size the other a smaller lap pool with hot tub. The pool is populated with a rowdy crowd of overage frat boys and sarong-wearing party girls sprawled-out on enormous custom tufted beds covered in hand-painted pillows.

Centrally located between the pools are the Rumbar, with its white sheer curtains and potted climber plants, and more causal Sandbar. In between rotations at the pool and bar, guests utilize a small gate for direct beach access and luring back any natives they might find. The hotel features three incredibly popular dining destinations including Japanese cuisine at Nobu, LA-transplant AGO and Skybar Miami Beach. Sky Bar's Redroom and Garden are one of the hottest nightlife venues in the city with a red lacquered teak floor, steel pool table and French Antique Napoleon III slipper chairs covered in silk. A 4000-sqaure foot spa offers an exclusive selection of massage, facial and body treatments for women and men available in private suites or outdoor terraces.
The Room
It’s a massive hotel, weighing in at 307 rooms and 70 oversize suites that range from grossly compact to decadently posh. Standard guest rooms are not for the claustrophobic with their neighborhood views and bed-centric design that sometimes doesn’t even offer a desk or chest of drawers. All rooms feature Mexican sandstone bathrooms with glass-enclosed wet areas and Rick Pipino bath products. Beds are made with fluffy 400 thread-count Egyptian linens and wireless technology that allows for internet browsing whilst in bed. Those with a bit better budget can select from ritzier accommodations like the hotel’s seven signature bungalows adorned with teak-framed beds, private outdoor showers and dining areas overlooking a private a garden facing the pool. The Penthouse Suite is a 6,000 square foot triplex with private elevator accessing all three floors. It includes two spiral staircases, private rooftop pool, steam room and sauna, outdoor shower and 360-degree panoramic views of the city and ocean. Still not good enough? Try the the Beach House - a private duplex villa with separate entrances, private pool and outdoor dining and lounge area that’s even satiated the needs of Mariah Carey and Ben Affleck.
