In the center of the Napa Valley near the Silverado Trail in St. Helena, The Restaurant at Meadowood is located in the historic lodge by the same name in a private country club setting home to a hotel, spa and this 3-star Michelin eatery helmed by chef Christopher Kostow. The hotel is one of the best addresses in the valley, under the Relais & Chateaux brand, with atrium eatery accessed via a private stone staircase from the main valet area. The main dining space is surrounded by large panels of glossy white windows on the eight-sided space with simple black chairs and white tablecloths allowing the food to take center position.
Napa Valley cuisine with obvious French influences, this isn’t your average hotel eatery offering a tasting menu, secondary pix fixe option and regular ala carte menu that’s doesn’t require the entire table to order in unison. The kitchen utilizes a dazzling array of foodie chemistry for emulsifiers and gelling agents with the freshest ingredients from local farmers and meat purveyors. The result is a tasting menu of Wagyu beef cured with meadowood pine, duo of frog and chicken and goat poached in chermoula that provide one of the more adventurous menus in the area and probably the best hotel-based eating experience in California.
2-Star Michelin dining room at Meadowood Hotel defies everything you ever feared of hospitality-managed dining in magnificent Napa setting.
