Located in the world's tallest building that Armani Hotel and Residences already calls home, Atmosphere is perched on the 122nd floor of the grand building accessed through an express elevator that opens to a glassy two-story atrium. Divided between a concept eatery and lounge, the space is smaller than you expect for Dubai standards offering an intimate dining room captured inside the oblong architectural silhouette of the Burj Khalifa ignited by floor-to-ceiling glass panels and reflective ceiling. Shiny hardwood floors frame interiors designed by Paris's Adam Tihany with chandeliers of hand-blown-glass and crimson color palette for upholstered pieces. The lounge features a singular plush banquette that wraps the the semi-circular lounge with cocktail table arrangements captured between the walls of glass overlooking the fountain show far below.
The Food
Chef Dwayne Cheer, previously of The Address, cooks up a lunch and dinner menu of thoroughly European specialties that live up to the fabulous address. Meals begin with a rather formal chestnut and pheasant soup served with truffle mascarpone and onto far more impressive presentations of foie gras terrine with confit leg salad, Wagyu tartare topped with dollop of Osetria caviar and Parmesan Risotto with cheese aged 36-months and served with fresh English peas. Main course standouts include Maine Lobster with flavors worthy of the substantial carbon footprint, Kobe fillet and slow-cooked beef short rib with sides like sweet corn, wild mushrooms and Dubai’s best onion rings.
Last Word
Burj Khalifa gets crowned with a starry gourmet dining room with views and flavors unrivaled.
