Undoubtedly the most famous restaurant in Cannes, La Palme d'Or has been a 2-star Michelin gastronomic fixture at Cannes' Hotel Martinez currently under the leadership of chef Christian Sinicropi. Sinicropi has has overseen the starry dining room since 2011 formerly led by Christian Willer. The look of La Palme d'Or has evolved over the years from it 2nd floor perch in the Hotel Martinez. Today, large windows overlooking the Croisette and hotel pool deck define a space lined in shiny wood flooring frame and elegant all-white tabletops. Ruffled curtains and black and white photos of previous star patrons with white-glove service befitting it many accolades.

The Food

Originally created by Christian Willer in 1985, La Palme d’Or was passed onto current chef Christian Sinicropi in 2001 who has continued the restaurant’s award-winning pedigree. Ala carte or prix fixes meals begin with asparagus on a bed of cucumber pulp that’s the texture of gazpacho, Dublin Bay prawns with beetroot or sweetbreads with a duck foie gras stuffing. Second course options like risotto with mullet roe are best left for heartier mains like Mediterranean Bass with green pea ravioli, wild turbot for two or whole fish dishes served with Forville market vegetables.
