The club hit the ground rolling after its late-2006 opening, attracting such celebrities as Miami-native Pharrell Williams, Enrique Iglesias and a pre-rehab Lindsay Lohan. The concept of the club is rather unique, in a cheesy Vegas-way. Inspired by the famous Mokai Canyon on New Zealand's South Island, it was the backdrop of such films as Lord of the Rings and King Kong. While these hairy apes and hobbits come in a different form, the crowd is usually quite good with a well-picked mix of Ford models and local professionals. The club is rather small; hitting capacity with 220-people, with its stacked-stone walls and crocodile-leather lounge seating alit in candlelight and neon. A stainless-steel bar, that matches the cross-shaped cocktail tables, runs the length of the club with cubist barstools for those unworthy of a table reservations. A separate VIP area is dotted with friends of owner Nicola Siervo and his rotation of celebrity DJs, but usually penetrable by everybody come 1am.
