On a congested street corner of St. Tropez near the Place des Lices, Pan Dei boutique hotel is quietly making a name for itself within the local upscale weekend market. The hotel is meticulously arranged in a 19th Century mansion with rear garden pavilion containing a large pool and cocktail bar. Around 7pm on any given night the rear bar is percolating with slinky singles sprawled-out on two-person Indian honeymoon loungers and oversize pool furnishings. To a gentile mix of house music, the bar staff serves complimentary canopies like smoked salmon crostini, crudités and warm nuts completely free of charge. In contrast to nearby La Maison Blanche that charges in excess of 20-Euro for such snacks, the Pan Dei is far more affordable, far more chic and one of the best cocktail scenes in the area.
