After a $51-million renovation it’s become the hottest après-ski scene in Courchevel, replacing the Byblos that exited the hotel landscape after 25-years. Located adjacent to in-house restaurant La Table du Jardin Alpin, the space divides the hotel lobby from a lively outdoor terrace with direct access to Gloriette and the Relais des Skieurs slopes. Visitors arrive in layered Dior and Chanel ski ensembles as a sexy ski valet swaps boots for house slippers to use while inside. The space preserves the tradition of eclectic Alpine decor with a nod to Hollywood sexy and old-world glamor. The decor puts a modern spin on traditional ski lodge decor complete with the requisite lounge soundtrack and occasional live music act. An all-day menu of Raclette, Fondue, chicken crepes as well as the simple French patisserie selection is served on Hermes china and Puiforcat silverware. Apres-ski drink staples include liquor-accented hot chocolate, hot red wine and endless bottles of champagne. Smokers find their own separate refuge in a gentlemanly cigar room with whiskey bar and cozy club chairs conducive to cumbersome French conversation.
