You’ll be glad you invested in the night’s sedan service as you make the drive to Imperia Lounge that made it much-ballyhooed debut on the Moscow scene in summer of 2010. The penetration of you black car door opens up the crowd just enough to make eye-contact with the beefy 7-foot bouncers with faces chiseled and cast in a haze of blue neon lights with perimeter of velvet rope that has become the toughest door in city nightlife.

Imperia Lounge isn’t your usual nightclub, it’s owned by vodka label Russian Standard that’s transitioned from sponsoring and promoting to full-out proprietorship along with partners Diaghilev Project.

The multi-level industrial space features wall-mounted LCD displays and go-go dancers suspended on circular pedestal above sunken lounge spaces and VIP deck. Without a real dance floor, those without table service are forced to hold their own amongst pushing and shoving from bar to bar as imported DJ talent spins electronic dance tunes to Russian celebs and aspiring models.

Tips

True high-rollers who barely blush at the idea of spending a few hundred-thousand rubles, bottle service starts around $5k, should contact the club’s secret VIP line at (8 985) 211 52 11.
