Luxury Ski Resort
The last two years have brought some serious changes to the high-end hotel landscape of Park City. Once defined by rustic Stein Eriksen and granola-cool Sundance Resort, the Sky Lodge gave the city it's first boutique hotel followed by Dakota Mountain Lodge the following years and St. Regis Deer Crest thereafter. This year marks the arrival of Montage Deer Valley that will immediately become the hottest winter resort reservation in America.
A ski-in/ski-out location at the base of six-peak Deer Valley, that's still one of America's only all-ski (no snowboarders) resorts, visitors arrive to a dramatic two-story lobby under barrel-vaulted ceiling surrounded in 15-ft. double-staircase and carved-limestone fireplaces that offer Park City elite a most-fitting hotel hideaway. Three eateries include Apex with farm to table ingredients for hearty American dining and Daly's gastro-pub with brick over and billiards tables. Spa lovers shouldn't miss Spa Montage, the largest in Utah, with its 35,000-sq. fit sprawl of indoor pool, full-service salon and Vichy shower treatment rooms.
The Room
A total of 174 guest rooms and 81 residences come with ski hotel standards like gas fireplaces and cushy furnishings in tapestry-looking fabric but with Montage stands-out like elaborate stone bathrooms with complimentary candles and overflowing mini-bars stocked with gourmet goodies and premium wines. The Residences, also available for nightly rental, offer up to four bedrooms ranging from 1,200 to 6,800 square feet with high ceilings, private balconies, gas fireplaces and gourmet kitchens.
